John's head on a silver platter?

For some reason that story always bothered me because that stupid ***** has his head decapitated and she didn't even know him. I mean, she only wanted his head on a platter because of her old ***** of a mother. Never even talked to John, probably didn't even know of him, and she has him decapitated. And then afterward it made Jesus Christ sad. Was anyone pissed off with that story?
