Can anyone tell me this british movie clic?

ok il be astonished if anybody gets this as iv asked n searched numerous sites 4 it 2 no avail, be here goes anyway. dont remember much about this movie except it was a comedy about a group of guys living in a firestation,n they end up chasing a headless man on a carriage. think the ppl in it were part of comedy team that made a few movies together. i vaguely remember watching them on the bbc during the 80`s any ideas??
