Are we getting a preview of GOP tactics should Obama get the nomination?

Given Clinton's recent slide and Obama's recent surge, it looks to me like the GOP is in for a tough time since they were planning on a Clinton slam dunk. What would Alan Keyes have to say about playing the race card? Is the American public still gullible enough to think that all muslims are terrorists? Wouldn't we all be better off if we could concentrate on the candidate's positions on the major issues rather than all these red herrings?
