How can Obama and Clinton make Israel stop the settlements so peace can occur?

You don't seem to realize that Hamas is the cause of the problems! Israel just wants to be left the hell alone. Every time things settle down Hamas conducts a terrorist attack against civilians, provoking the government of Israel to respond and starting the cycle all over again. Israel would let them have their own plot of land if Hamas would be happy with it and leave them alone but Hamas' goal is to kill every jew they can. It will never stop until one has completely killed the other off to the last man, woman and child.
